Some of his key areas of focus are SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, HIPAA, Security Risk Assessment, CMMC 2.0 among others. He is a CMMC Registered Practitioner (RP), RPA (Registered Practitioner Advanced), CISSP, CISA, CISM, MBA. He is active in several community groups including Rotary International and TiE.

As Director of Operations at databrackets, he leverages his extensive experience to enhance operational efficiency, manage complex projects, and drive strategic initiatives in cybersecurity.
Before joining databrackets, Balaji held critical roles at Tech Mahindra, where he managed global programs for automotive clients, oversaw resource allocation across diverse technology domains, and led critical projects such as firewall management and solution architecture for a UK-based financial institution. His contributions also extended to competence development, solution architecture, and business development initiatives.

With over 20 years as an Information Security and IT Infrastructure professional, Kaila is a results-driven cybersecurity leader skilled in risk management, compliance, and security strategy. She has led global teams and managed complex initiatives aligned with ITIL, NIST, HIPAA/HITECH, MIPS/MACRA, SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, CMMC 2.0, and federal, state, and industry regulations. Kaila specializes in audits, compliance assessments, and risk evaluations for ISO/IEC 27001, HIPAA/HITECH, vendor risk, and SOC 2 readiness, with key focus areas including SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Previously a UNIX Security Systems Solutions Engineer at Hewlett-Packard, she honed her technical expertise and mentoring skills while supporting enterprise-level security and systems engineering initiatives. Now, as a Cybersecurity Compliance Consultant at databrackets, she guides clients through evolving cybersecurity challenges.
Kaila holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and certifications as a CMMC Professional (CCP), Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA), CompTIA Security+, and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Lead Auditor. She actively practices yoga and participates in community organizations such as Hand in Hand USA and Rotary International.
